  • LA Women in Dance Summit 9am - 2pm Plummer Park West Hollywood

    Enjoy breakfast, a key note speaker, 1 on 1 “speed” mentor sessions, 2 master dance classes, and an industry Expo at MashUp’s IWDDF LA Women in Dance Summit. Check out the schedule:

    9am — Breakfast + Industry Expo opens

    9:45am - Lecture demonstration from Keynote Speaker Gracie Whyte of WHYTEBERG and Ground Grooves, utilizing their guided journal, “Reflect, Reframe, Rebuild: A workbook for dancers”

    10:15am-11:45am — Mentor “speed dating” with Monika Smith, Mackenzie Martin, Julie McDonald, Marissa Osato, and Emily Wanserski + Industry Expo

    12pm-12:55pm — Int./Adv. Dance Class with Stephanie Heckert

    IWDDF Kick-off Party 7pm Frogtown Creative

    Celebrate the kick of of MashUp’s IWDDF and International Women’s Day with a party filled with food, drinks, dance, music, and more. Catch the premiere of MashUp and Curious Minds LA’s short dance film, a live performance from MashUp, honoring of the Exemplary Women in Dance Award Winners Monika Felice Smith and MaryAnn Chavez, and so much more!   • Choreographers Showcase 4pm and 8pm Stomping Ground LA

    Both showcases will feature work from Azuki Umeda, Gianna Burright, Jordan Pelliteri, Waeli Wang, Kaley Logan, Marcella Lewis, Hannah Millar, Tori Cone, Olivia Liberati, Madison Olandt, Jasmine Albuquerque. Grab tickets to the showcase below:

  • Open level movement workshop 11am - 12pm Brockus Project Studio

    Community open level class - all abilities and levels of movers are welcome to come connect and move in a fun and judgement-free environment!

    Intermediate/Advanced Master Classes 12:15 - 5:30pm Brockus Project Studio

Each year at our IWDDF Kick-off Party, MashUp honors two Exemplary Women in our LA Dance industry working in commercial, concert, and/or non-profit sectors. Nominate a Woman in LA Dance Who has Exemplified Inspirational Leadership, Advancing the Dance Field in a Positive Way!

Scholarship Opportunity

If you are currently an in-training pre-professional/professional dancer, and looking to attend all of the IWD events, we are giving out a handful of full festival scholarships. We know these events can be costly, but the experiences are invaluable - so we want to make them more accessible to our local dance community members.
