Sarah Rodenhouse

Sarah was born in Annapolis, Maryland, but grew up mostly in Rochester, New York with her parents and four brothers! She began dancing at the age of 4 training at Fitzsimmons Dance Factory, Rochester City Ballet and Dance Explosion. After attending Towson University in Maryland for two years, where she studied dance performance and education, she decided to begin the pursuit of her dance career in Los Angeles.

Sarah can be seen in music videos for artists Jessica Simpson, Kylie Minogue, All American Rejects, and The Plain White T’s. She has also danced in commercials for Bugaboo Strollers and American Apparel, and was a ballet dancer in the feature film "The Curious Case of Benjamin Buttons". Sarah has had the pleasure of working with Ryan Heffington on a Benefit Cosmetics Project and has trained with the Los Angeles Contemporary Dance Company during their annual summer intensive program. She has studied under other top choreographers at the Edge Performing Arts Center, Millennium Dance Complex, and Debbie Reynolds Studio in Los Angeles. Deciding to spend a year in New York in 2008, Sarah trained at Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway. She performed nightly at the Hawaiian Tropic Zone in Times Square and was a featured dancer in a commercial for Russian phone company MTS. Sarah also danced on the CW morning show and performed at Webster hall for New Years Eve ‘09 with Lady Gaga.

With her second passion being travel, she has trained at Pineapple in London, The Ballet Center in Florence, The Space in Melbourne, Rumpuree in Bangkok, and with Ikapa Dance Theater in Capetown, South Africa. She is also the proud owner and Co-Artistic Director of Los Angeles based MashUp Contemporary Dance Company, where she has enjoyed 4 unbelievable seasons including performances around the nation and Canada. With partner Victoria Brown, Sarah has choreographed, directed and produced MashUp’s full-length shows, SCIENCE, Usual Places, Inanimate Thoughts, and Multiple Exposures, which were seen in LA, NY, San Francisco, DC and San Diego. Along with these shows and countless choreographer showcases and festivals, Sarah also co-choreographed MashUp’s first short dance film, “Algorhythym”, produced with Farm Fresh Entertainment. Additionally, Sarah has had the pleasure of choreographing and performing with musical artist C.C. Sheffield for events such as Sunset Junction music festival, MashED Up charity event at The Fonda Theater, and Heat Music Festival.

Sarah is also a certified Pilates instructor through The Physical Mind Institute.
